Up until 2017, Roberto and his crew organized small-scale house parties, often hosted at
Crismeli — the home of Pedro’s aunt — where friends gathered to share music, films, and
creativity.
That year, however, something unexpected happened. What started as a joke became Roberto’s
first large-scale event: Melo’s Rave Party, a birthday celebration for his friend Leon Melo.
Roberto launched a playful campaign that quickly grew into something bigger than planned.
He designed audiovisual promos and plastered QR codes across the campus of Universidad
Católica Andrés Bello, each one linking to the party’s official page. What was meant to be a
private gathering among close friends transformed into a city-wide buzz.
When the night came, more than 100 people showed up. Fortunately, the house chosen was
large enough to hold the crowd — marking the beginning of a new chapter in Roberto’s journey
of alternative parties.
